Who are we?
Public Health Surveillance & Monitoring (PHSM) is an expert group (Fachgruppe) within Public Health Schweiz aiming to strengthen public health surveillance and monitoring. It replaces the expert group "Epidemiology". The field of surveillance and monitoring is at the cross-road of applied public health, population health science, and epidemiology and the expert group wants to make it more visible in Switzerland. With the development of data science and the growing access to multiple types of data potentially usable for surveillance and monitoring, there is a need for a group devoted to this field. The PHSM group will make the link between, on the one hand, research and development in the field and, on the other hand, surveillance practice and needs at the cantonal and national level.
Dates
Invitations will be sent by email to members of the expert group. Other interested parties are welcome to contact the chair or the office of Public Health Switzerland.
